PerfGuard is a developer tool for Unreal Engine 5 distributed through the FAB marketplace. We've designed it so that almost nothing about your usage leaves your machine. This page documents what we do and don't collect.
Nothing. The PerfGuard plugin and its bundled CLI run entirely on your local machine and CI runners. They do not contain any analytics, telemetry, or "phone home" calls. No usage data, no scenario contents, no project paths, no captures, and no baselines are transmitted off-device by PerfGuard itself.
This marketing website (getperfguard.com) is statically hosted and serves only HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and images. It does not run analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking pixels. The only third-party request the page makes is to Google Fonts (woff2 files) for typography; Google may log standard request metadata (IP address, user-agent) for that request as documented in their own privacy policy.
If you email getperfguard@gmail.com, join our Discord, or open a GitHub issue, the contents of those messages are stored by the respective service (Google, Discord, GitHub). We use them only to support and improve PerfGuard. We do not share or sell that data to third parties.
PerfGuard's CLI can post regression notifications to a webhook URL that you configure (Slack, Microsoft Teams, or a generic JSON endpoint). When you opt in, summary data about your runs is sent to your webhook destination. PerfGuard never sees that data — it goes directly from your machine to the URL you specify.
PerfGuard is a professional development tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data about anyone.
If this policy ever changes, the updated date at the top of the page will reflect the change. Material changes will also be announced in our changelog.
